When we take an action and observe what happens, we have an opportunity to adjust. That makes feedback a useful way to examine some forms of agentic work.
Which loop are we closing?
Checking that an analysis faithfully represents interviews can happen quickly. Learning whether its recommendation improves the customer experience takes longer. Success in the first loop does not establish success in the second.
What the lens might miss
People can disagree about the desired outcome. Exploration can change the goal itself. An organization’s actions may alter the environment it is trying to understand.
These are reasons to examine the lens carefully. The project leaves open whether systems thinking becomes central or remains useful for particular questions.
